Meet Gelisa (Gee), the visionary Founder and Creative Director who brought Dear Leone to life in 2019. Named as a dedication to her sister Leone, DL stands tall as an exclusive wedding planner & designer, dedicated to curating otherworldly events across Tasmania—ranging from intimate elopements to grand scale weddings.
Gee and her team are on a passionate quest to unveil the beauty of every corner of Tasmania, while savoring the state's finest wine and culinary delights. Through conversations with clients, they carefully gather inspirations and visions for the big day. Seamlessly, they weave together concepts, mood boards, handpicked vendors, and exquisite venues, crafting a tale that is as unique, textured, and unforgettable as the couple themselves.
Unpretentious styling with a focus on memorable experiences keeping every event one-of-a-kind. DL produces original concepts that are never repeated whilst exploring the realms of colour, minimalism to maximalism. A feast for the senses.
And above all, Dear Leone pays homage to two important pillars of life; family and cultural heritage. In being proud of who you are, of how you look and where you come from- regardless of what or how your journey may look like. Most importantly, knowing that you have a sense of home with us.

THE BRAND
Gelisa herself, married her best friend life Omar in May of 2021. An intimate wedding enriched in personalised sentiments and enriched in cultural elements that honoured Gelisa’s Maori and Samoan family and ancestors as well as Latin inspired food and music to honour Omar’s side. Omar founded his passion in Wedding and Elopement photography, so whilst they both can busy in the industry and supporting each other’s dreams, they find stillness (and home) with the biggest love of their lives, their two sons, Israel & Koa.
Because of Gelisa’s own experience, she is committed to providing couples with the ultimate experience of connection, entwining it with her unyielding love of the spaces and the natural world. The result is bold, dynamic and immersive design, a multi-sensory experience that connects with people on multiple levels. She is also an avid traveller (25 countries and counting!) and uses these experiences as inspiration for her design work, whether it’s drawing ideas from a snow-capped mountain vista or chasing one last sunset across an endless silver beach.
